Chicken Bread Box | Chicken Stuffed Bread


Loaves of bread are stuffed with flavored chicken and then it's deep-fried. And it makes a perfect evening snack along with some ketchup. I always used to make this snack for my kid as she loves it so much.

INGREDIENTS
  • Bread
  • Onion - 1 no, chopped  
  • Potato- 2 nos, boiled and grated
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 1 Tablespoon
  • Coriander leaves 
  • Chicken - cooked with turmeric powder, pepper powder, and salt 
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Kashmiri Chilly powder - 1 Tablespoon
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder- 3/4 teaspoon
  • Pepper Powder- 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cooking Oil
  • Salt 
 For Making the batter:
  • Gram flour- 1/2 cup
  • Kashmiri Chili Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt
  • Water - as required 
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Firstly, Heat 1 Tablespoon of oil in a pan.
  2. Then add chopped onions, green chilly, and ginger-garlic paste.
  3. Put some salt and sauté well until onions get transparent.
  4. After that add the spice powders - turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder, pepper powder and garam masala powder.
  5. Sauté well until raw smell has gone.
  6. Now add grated potato and mix well.
  7. Then add shredded chicken and sauté for a couple of minutes to combine all ingredients together.
  8. Finally, add some chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
  9. Allow this mixture to cool.
  10. Meanwhile, take 1/2 cup of gram flour and add a little bit of salt and Kashmiri chili powder. Mix well by adding water without lumps to make the glue. Then keep it aside.
  11. Take the bread and remove the sides. Then cut it into half.
  12. Grind the removed sides into fine powder (bread crumbs).
  13. Place prepared filling between the sliced breads and gently press it.
  14. Then fold 2 sides of the sheet to cover the filling.
  15. Also, cut the remaining 2 sides into 4 stripes each and weave them together.
  16. Finally, apply the prepared batter all over the bread and roll this in the prepared breadcrumbs.
  17. Do the same for the remaining.
  18. Heat some oil in a Kadai.
  19. When the oil is hot drop the bread boxes into the oil.
  20. Fry both sides over medium flame until the color change and crispy.
  21. Drain over a kitchen towel.
  22. Serve hot with a cup of tea.
BONUS TIP
  •  You can use beef or mutton or egg instead of chicken.
