Refreshing Beet Lemonade


During the summer season, I used to drink lemon sap for replenishing. Then I thought why should I try for a healthy drink. Then I started to modify the drink by adding some healthier veggies and fruits. And it was satisfactory. Here I am sharing one of those drink.
Beetroot is the taproot portion of the beet plant. Beetroot, also known as beet, has been gaining in popularity as a new superfood due to recent studies claiming that beets and beetroot juice can improve athletic performance, lower blood pressure, and increase blood flow.

INGREDIENTS
  • Beetroot- 1 no, small sized
  • Sugar- 2 tablespoons+ 1/4 cup
  • Water- 3/4 cup + 3 cups 
  • Lemon juice- extracted from 3  lemons 
  • Ginger- a small piece
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Firstly take the beetroot and then peel the skin.
  2. Rinse well in water.
  3. Grate the beetroot.
  4. Then transfer the grated beetroot into a Kadai.
  5. Add 3/4 cup of water and 2 tablespoons of sugar to it.
  6. Boil well for extracting the colour of beets.
  7. Switch off the flame when colour is extracted completely.
  8. Drain the coloured water using a strainer.
  9. Allow it to cool.
  10. Pour the fluid into an ice cube tray and freeze it.
  11. Now let's prepare the lemonade. For that, take lemon juice in a blender.
  12. Then add ginger and 1/4 cup sugar to it.
  13. Also, add 3 cups of water and blend well. You can adjust the water level based on the sourness of lemon.
  14. Transfer this to serving glasses.
  15. Finally, put the frozen beetroot ice cubes to the serving glasses and have it.
