Pear Lemonade



I have already posted a lemonade using beetroot. Today I am sharing another lemonade using pear. In this drink, I am adding pear and chia seeds. This lemonade is my hubby's favourite one. 
Pears are a mild, sweet fruit with a fibrous centre. They are rich in important antioxidants, flavonoids and dietary fibres. Consuming pears may help with weight loss and reduce the risk of developing cancer, hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease if eaten as a part of an overall healthy diet.

INGREDIENTS
  • Pear- 1 no, small sized
  • Sugar- 1/4 cup
  • Water- 2 cups 
  • Lemon juice- extracted from 2 lemons 
  • Ginger- a small piece
  • Basil seeds/ Couscous - 1 teaspoon, soaked

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Firstly take the pear and then peel the skin.
  2. Rinse well in water.
  3. Cut it into pieces.
  4. Then transfer the pear to a blender.
  5. Add lemon juice to it.
  6. Then add ginger and 1/4 cup sugar to it.
  7. Also, add 2 cups of water and blend well. You can adjust the water level based on the sourness of lemon.
  8. Transfer this to serving glasses.
  9. Finally, put the soaked couscous to the serving glasses and have it.
