Thaen Mittai | Then Mittai | Honey Candy | Thaen Nilavu
Thaen mittai is a ball-shaped sweet with the crunchy outside and juicy inside. It is a bright orange-colored soft candy that used to be sold in all petti shops in villages throughout Kerala and Tamilnadu. This candy is available in all small shops, especially in front of the schools. It was a common sight to see these in glass jars.
Thaen means honey. But honey is not using in this candy. The juice oozing out from this candy is actually sugar syrup. This is a mouth-watering nostalgic candy. I strongly recommend you all to taste this candy at least once in your lifetime. I am sure that all of you like this yummy recipe.
