Pazham Pori | Banana Fritters

On a rainy day, all of us imagines in our mind that if I get a pazham pori with a hot tea. Wow, that will be more awesome moment. Here I am sharing one of the favourites of mine, that's pazham pori. Pazham pori also known as ethakka appam is a fritter food with ripened plantain or banana and maida flour. It is a popular tea time snack in South Indian cuisines. It is used as a breakfast and tea time snack. It is very easy to make by using the available ingredients in our home. Pear Lemonade

I have already posted a lemonade using b eetroot. Today I am sharing another lemonade using pear. In this drink, I am adding pear and chia seeds. This lemonade is my hubby's favourite one.  Pears are a mild, sweet fruit with a fibrous centre. They are rich in important antioxidants, flavonoids and dietary fibres. Consuming pears may help with weight loss and reduce the risk of developing cancer, hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease if eaten as a part of an overall healthy diet. Today I am sharing a recipe using plantains. A simple heart-shaped sweet that can be served with hot tea. Enjoy the recipe! Please click below for quick video: INGREDIENTS Plantains/Bananas - 2 nos, ripen Grated Coconut- 3 tablespoons Ghee - 3 tablespoons  Sugar - 1 tablespoon Cardamoms- 3 nos. All-purpose flour- 1/2 cup Water - as required Salt - a pinch Food colour - yellow, few drops Oil for frying INSTRUCTIONS Firstly take the bananas and peel the skins off. Then cut it into small pieces. Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in a pan. Roast the bananas and keep it aside. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in the same pan. Put the grated coconut and saute for 2 minutes. Today I am sharing a kids special fruit salad. Everyone can make this salad easily by using any kind of fruits that you have. Even a kid can be made this recipe easily. Fruit salads are the healthiest dish during summer. I am sure that all of you like this dessert. Here I am using some fruits that I have. Unnakkaya / Unnakkai is a spindle-shaped sweet made of plantain stuffed with coconut filling. It is originated from the Malabar region of India and is often eaten at a wedding, iftar and other festivities. Irachi Pathiri/ Erachi Pathiri is a  popular food item in Malabar, especially during Ramadan. This delicious food item is prepared by stuffing meat in it. You can use chicken, mutton or beef in accordance with your taste. The bread/roti used to cover up the meat filling is made of all-purpose flour/maida or wheat flour or the combination of both flours. Here I am using all-purpose flour independently to make the roti.
